JOINT STATEMENT OF 25 STUDENTS’ ORGANISATIONS OF SOUTH ASIA
The imperialist US-backed Zionist Israel has once again launched a barbaric attack on the unarmed people of Palestine violating the ceasefire agreement.
Israel has carried out a heinous aerial and drone attacks violating all ceasefire agreements, targeting the defenseless, innocent, and sleeping civilians of Gaza, Palestine. This brutal attack and massacre stand as one of the most heinous crimes in the history of human civilization. The photographs and videos of the mutilated bodies of Palestinian civilians, including children, circulated in the media, have shocked the conscience of the mankind.
The vicious nature of the capitalism-imperialism is being exposed time and again through such barbarian aggressions. To escape the crisis of market downturns, the imperialists are artificially creating war-like situations or directly initiating wars to sustain their military industries. This is the reason behind the aggressions. Palestine has been enduring continuous attacks by Israel for a long time, with direct support from American imperialism. From October 2023 until the ceasefire, around 50 thousand Palestinians were killed, and nearly 115,000 were injured—most of them are women and children. Due to immense anti-war pressure from global people’s opinion, including in Israel they were forced into a ceasefire on January 19, 2025. However, suddenly violating the agreement, they have resumed their barbaric attack. Not only that Israeli Prime Minister and war criminal Netanyahu threatened that they are to set out greater attack on Palestine! The world knows behind this aggression there is a direct incitement and support of American imperialism. Not long ago, Donald Trump arrogantly stated that Palestinians would be forcibly removed from Gaza so that it could be “occupied”! It would not have been easy for the imperialists in presence of Socialist camp which existed earlier as a strong resistant force.
Despite repeated attacks and massacres, the United Nations remains silent, effectively siding with the genocide. We call upon the democratic-minded people of the world to raise their voices against the genocide in Palestine and the imperialist war industries. We also urge the people of the globe to put pressure on their government to take effective diplomatic measures and mobilize public opinion to put an end to this massacre.
